Hi! We’re your hosts Emma and Fin! We’re a married couple in our late thirties and we’ve been exploring non-monogamy in different ways since nearly the beginning of our relationship more than twenty years ago. But, this podcast isn’t about us…
We strongly believe there isn’t a “right way” to be non-monogamous or even that non-monogamy is better or more evolved than monogamy or any other relationship style. Every week we interview people from across the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and relationship style to learn from their incredible and powerful personal stories.
Each episode is a unique perspective and personal story… Pick one that sounds interesting and give it a listen!
We hope that by sharing the amazing journeys of those who are redefining and pushing the limits of what’s possible in relationships that we can show people that they’re not alone and inspire us all to embrace our true selves so that, together, we can open minds and live authentically without shame.

Rebecca's story is so amazing and inspirational! After a difficult breakup and being monogamous her entire life, she has spent the last 18 months (ish) rethinking everything. In that time, she has jumped into a non-hierarchical polyamorous relationship, started exploring kink, moved into a house with her polycule, and done an incredible amount of personal growth. This is a fantastic story and we hope you enjoy it.

Jane and Jay are in their early-ish forties and have been exploring swinging for the last seven years. The call themselves social swingers and for them it’s all about making friends and going with the flow. They talk with us about how much of a miracle it is that they actually ever swing with anyone because of how bad they are at picking up on vibes from others. But their communication has evolved since they started their journey! Jane also documents their adventures in a super fun, sex-positive, and body-positive weekly comic strip called Swingfessions. Sky and Kody were destined to never be together... Or perhaps quite the opposite. Against all odds, Tinder somehow made it happen. Lucky for them and lucky for all of us who get to hear their journey! They are amazing humans who take communication and their approach to relationships to elite levels. They decided from the beginning of their relationship that it would be open but took the first few months to deepen their connection before starting to explore. As you will see, the whole journey for them is about sharing incredible experiences with one another and finding what makes them happy on an incredible adventure.

Charita Marie is an incredible woman who is an unbelievable advocate and activist in the black, non-monogamous, and LGBTQ+ communities. To name just a few, she is a co-organizer of Poly Dallas Millennium as well as the Dallas lead for Black and Poly. Beyond that, she has an amazing story to share. We talk with her about a wide range of topics including navigating mismatched libidos and asexuality, nourishing relationships during Covid, raising sex-positive children, the importance of self-care, navigating the poly-mono relationship dynamic and so much more! Kat is a delightful and bubbly human whose journey takes us to multiple continents and is full of self-discovery and growth. She grew up very religious and was engaged at a young age before setting off on a trip to study in Argentina where her world opened up. She shares with us how she went from super religious, to engaged, to single, joined a band, got married, separated from her husband, and is now exploring solo polyamory along with dabbling a bit in some other forms of ethical non-monogamy. It's a fantastic story!

Amanda and Thomas are in their very early thirties and have been exploring non-monogamy since the beginning of their relationship over five years ago. They have a fluid approach and keep things independent from one another (except for when the threesomes happen), yet, they don't hide things either. They share with us how they are able to find this balance, keep lines of communication open, and how they have been adjusting to spending a lot more time together since the pandemic showed up. Jhen is a 30ish year old, hilarious, pansexual woman from Jamaica who has been exploring non-monogamy since she first shared a boyfriend with her best friend when she was six! In all seriousness, monogamy really isn't her thing and pretty much all of her adult-life relationships have been non-monogamous in some fashion. She shares a journey with us which spans multiple cultures and includes a fair amount of laughs!
She is also one of the co-creators and hosts of The Monogamish Pod podcast which focuses on ethical non-monogamy through the Black Caribbean lens.

Kate and Chris are right at the start of their journey...Sort of. They have been discussing ethical and consensual non-monogamy for the last couple of months but have been forced to just keep talking about it due to COVID-19. The conversation came up after Kate asked Chris for a divorce because after her third emotional affair she concluded that she must not love him anymore since she was interested in someone else. Chris wasn't about to throw away 20 years of marriage that easily and after some long nights of talking it turns out that neither of them wanted to get divorced. Gasp! These two share the incredible journey they have been on together so far and have kindly volunteered to let us track the entire thing in a multiple part series over the next, well, hopefully 40+ years!

We're honored to welcome Ruby Johnson, co-founder of Poly Dallas Millennium, to moderate our first panel discussion. As she mentions, this is not a race 101 discussion. While it is targeted towards the Black community, it is an invaluable resource for anyone who finds it. The amazing and accomplished panelists discuss difficult topics, share vulnerable stories, and do it all while weaving in humor and laughter. It's a very real conversation with four powerful friends.
