Emily and Matt both thought they were broken and not meant to be loved like everyone else. Then they met and together decided to openly explore their sexualities and non-monogamy and everything changed for them. It has been an amazing journey but definitely not one without some bumps along the way. In fact, they describe their first experience as a "trial by fire" and it is full of learning opportunities for everyone. Rachael shares with us a powerful and beautiful story of self-discovery. She married at a young age and realized years later that she had never had the time to find who she was. At age 32 she had zero sex drive but figured that was just normal because she was "getting old..." Then she went to see the movie Wolverine and saw Hugh Jackman with his shirt off and it hit her that she needed to make some changes. Since then, she has separated from her high school sweetheart, learned a ton about herself, gotten involved in various polyamory and kink organizations, and even started her own publication on Medium called Polyamory Today. This interview covers so much ground and is super inspiring. Enjoy!

During college Wilson had a long distance relationship with a woman in Argentina. The two of them decided to open the relationship in an effort not to limit the other's physical needs. As he describes it, they had no idea what they were doing or that open relationships were even a "thing" that you could do. They just did it. It was a rocky few years and now he has done extensive research and discovery into what kind of non-monogamy he is interested in. This is a great discussion for anyone who is sort of unsure and just starting to figure things out. Enjoy!

This is a wonderful discussion about self-discovery, boundaries, standing up for yourself, and communicating with compassion. Leah is a self-proclaimed relationship junky but only recently dipped her toes into non-monogamy after accidentally matching with someone on a dating app. She didn't read the whole profile... Oops! She ended up going on a date with him and his partner anyways and had a great time but ultimately things didn't work out. She details the whole story and shares with us how her approach to relationships has shifted since this experience. Additionally, a few years ago after getting ghosted she created an Esther Perel Discussion group on Facebook that has grown to almost 12k members.

At 22, Nicki is our youngest guest so far. She has recently started exploring non-monogamy with her partner and as she puts it, she's standing at the edge of the abyss looking in... And she's super excited about it. All of it! She has a very high EQ and talks about how her experiences in exploring non-monogamy have already helped her understand and confront her anxiety and perfectionism. She's also gained a better understanding of how being highly empathetic and an HSP (highly sensitive person) fit into relationships and self care.
