Hi! We’re your hosts Emma and Fin! We’re a married couple in our late thirties and we’ve been exploring non-monogamy in different ways since nearly the beginning of our relationship more than twenty years ago. But, this podcast isn’t about us…

We strongly believe there isn’t a “right way” to be non-monogamous or even that non-monogamy is better or more evolved than monogamy or any other relationship style. Every week we interview people from across the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and relationship style to learn from their incredible and powerful personal stories.

Welcome to Episode 3 of Focus Fridays, a series of topic specific discussions with other contributors, and a bit different from our traditional story-focused interviews. In this episode we talk with Dr. Evelin Dacker, a family physician with her own practice near Portland, Oregon. She is also the executive director of Sex Positive Portland and created the integrative disclosure framework, STARS. We have a fantastic discussion on the misconceptions of STIs, viral vs. bacterial infections, empowering oneself, knowing your acceptable level of risk, bringing up sexual health with your doctor, and more. This is an educational discussion for all of us and information we’re excited to get out there!
