We strongly believe there isn’t a “right way” to be non-monogamous or even that non-monogamy is better or more evolved than monogamy or any other relationship style. Every week we interview people from across the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and relationship style to learn from their incredible and powerful personal stories.

Brian and his wife have been exploring non-monogamy in various capacities over the past few years and have ultimately decided to separate. To protect her privacy, they decided the best strategy would be for Brian to share the story on their behalf and we appreciate their vulnerability in doing so. It's a great example of how many people leap to the conclusion that non-monogamy caused the relationship to end but as you will hear, it's a lot more nuanced than that.
